The Lemont Block
The Lemont Hall Event Venue
The Historic Lemont Block Building
Built in 1870 and beautifully restored in 2022, The Lemont Block stands at the heart of downtown Brunswick, Maine. Today this iconic landmark brings together historic architecture, vibrant local businesses, luxury residences, and the celebrated Lemont Hall event venue—all under one roof.
A place where Maine’s past and present meet.
Local Landmark Reborn and Reopened
For more than 150 years, The Lemont Block has been part of Brunswick’s story. Originally constructed by Grand Masons in the late 1860s, the building quickly became a center of community life—hosting dances, lectures, celebrations, and gatherings that shaped Mid-Coast Maine for a century.
In the 1980s the building was left shuttered for needed renovations and there it sat, hidden from generations, in plain sight on the corner of Maine Street Brunswick. The stairs aligned and the building was thoughtfully restored and reopened in 2022, preserving its Victorian character while introducing modern amenities for today’s residents, visitors, and events by Hermitage Maine owners Aaron Turkel and Cleo Vauban.
The Lemont Block once again stands as one of Brunswick’s most recognizable and beloved historic buildings.
Lemont Hall
Brunswick’s Historic Gathering Space
At the heart of the building sits Lemont Hall, a grand second-floor hall that has welcomed generations of celebrations.
Featuring soaring ceilings, restored windows, and original architectural details, the hall has become one of Mid-Coast Maine’s most distinctive spaces for:
• Weddings
• Concerts and performances
• Fundraisers and galas
• Community events
• Private celebrations
Carefully restored while preserving its historic character, Lemont Hall blends timeless elegance with modern event amenities.
